First day of grad school today...it was awesome!! Ya I know its kind of weird for someone to say that school was awesome but I guess grad schools just different.  You dont have to take all these worthless classes that dont have anything to do with your major...instead you are in classes that actually matter to you and your future..its great!

Going into my first day I was sooo scared but it turned out to be very "chill".  The people are nice, the faculty is awesome...I think this is going to be a good 5 years (knock on wood)...

This last weekend while half my friends were in vegas I was chillin in PV with my lil sis.  Well my parents are gone to Alaska on a cruise so i volunteered to stay with my sister (i mean either way someone would have volunteered me anyway..haha)

Friday morning woke up at 5 am took the rents to the airport, came home couldnt sleep..worked out ..then friday night i went to a wedding which was beautiful..and fun.

Saturday Shiva and I helped Tina and Josh move- that was fun!! haha ya right..

Sunday went to breakfast, hung out at the house and at night my friend came over for a visit- twas nice

Monday I had a lil bbq...not all were invited because my lil sister and her friend were there..but all in all we all had a good time..jawtoon khawlee...much love 2 the people i didnt tell..

Well that was my weekend and my first day at school...take care all!!

Well its been a while since my last entry...i dont know i guess because nothing really interesting was going on, until this last weekend

Friday August 22 my cousin Nooshin and I headed out to Vegas for a weekend of relaxation and some major partying!! We were meeting up with our other cousin Sadaf and her two friends Heather and Robin

We left Torrance at about 2:30 and reached our destination at 8:30...the drive wasnt bad at all but it took a while because we took our time when we grabbed lunch at Barstow.

When we got to Vegas we went up to the room to get situated and soon after Sadaf and her friends came back to the room and we all started getting ready to PARTY!!

Friday night we hit up Rum Jungle at Mandalay Bay.  It was great!! There were tons of beautiful people (men that is) and they were great to look at.  We all sort of split up and Noosh and I were walking up to the dance floor but Noosh was stopped by some hottie- as she was talking to that guy I was chatting with the security gaurd (he was really nice) Then there was a private party behind the security gaurd and the guy running the party asked me to join...he was talking to me asking me where i was from yada yada and I hung out in the VIP section for a tid bit...soon after when i was leaving VIP the security gaurd told me that I should feel very special because not everyone is allowed in there and that each bottle of champagne in that area was literally minimum $1000. I felt reeeal special .  We hung out a bit longer danced some more and headed back to our hotel around 3am...grreat nite!!

Saturday Sadaf and her friends were on their way back to LA because they were in Vegas since Thursday...so they left around 12 something and Noosh and I headed over to the Rio for some Buffet...it was good except for the fact that I'm still on my no carbs diet so I didnt have the mashed potatoes and the rice and the veggies but I ate enough meet to hold me over.  One bad thing is that they sat us right next to the desserts I was going good on my no carbs thing but c'mon its vegas one cheat wont hurt..haha

We gambled at the Rio a bit and then headed back to our hotel so we could relax and nap...after the napping we got ourselves all prettied up and headed out to the Palms...we hung out there gambled, met people who wanted to take us into RAIN VIP but didnt go with them because- well i guess you could just say, bad timing (haha).  So then we went to Rio to gamble a bit but ended up VIP status at some club called BIKINIS it was aiight- we didnt stay there too long...we then went to Luxor for some more gamblin' and were going to go to RA but we didnt really feel like the club thing..we stayed at Luxor for a bit and then headed back to our hotel around 3:30 and hit the sack.

Sunday we got up early (9:30) to check out at 11.  After we headed over to Alladin and had a champagne brunch buffet which was awesome!! We shopped there a bit and then hit the road to head back to LA around 3:30 ish...

On the way back we hit a storm and I was sure we would hit some flash floods as well but thank goodness we steered clear of them

We got into Torrance at around 9:15 and the weekend of fun and relaxation had come to an end....but i must say we truly had a blast!!!

(Details of this trip were not included in this entry because as they say...What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...hahaha) (ya cuz sooo much happened, rite?)

CD-2480 Moein.jpg

2 nights ago we went to the Moein/Mansour concert at the Greek Theater... twas sooo nice I'm really glad we went.  On the tickets it says "show starts at 7:00" I take that as Persian standard time for 8:00  and that's when it started.

First Mansour performed which was really nice and up beat and every one in the theater was up and dancing.  I was dancing in the isles and some guy from the row next to us started dancing with me- I thought its all in good fun so I continued to dance... Mansours performance was awesome!! Then came Moein...wow!  That man came out wearing a white suit and sang like 20 songs and it seemed like he didn't even break a sweat...haha he just kept going- which was grreat cause he kept the crowd up on their feet.

As people were dancing in the isles the security kept walking by and telling them to stop- I never got stopped  until one time this big ass guy came and said excuse me ma'am  ...so I just turned around and danced with him ..he smiled and just stood there and everyone around us cheered...I did good!

Moein sang until a little past 11 but we didn't stay we wanted to beat the crowd (because at these Persian events no one pays attention to traffic signs, directions, or the number of lanes there really are ) so we got out in good time .

I had a lot of fun- cant wait for the EBI concert in September- I'm soooo there!!

"It’s the beat my heart skips when I’m with you" -Beyonce

Have you ever heard that one song that just makes you think 'oh my gosh that’s soo mee'? Or have you ever heard lyrics of songs and been like 'wow someone else knows how I feel'? Well I do all the time...there are some lines and quotes that I come across that just woow me and I get soo excited… weird but true.  For example the quote above I LOVE IT! Why? Because it makes you think of that special someone and it just screams out to you 'that’s how I feel!' You’re with the person who you are so into and your heart skips a beat and you get all fluttery inside...it’s the best feeling Then there is that song by Marc Anthony that says "How do I explain that smile and how it turns my world around" that is the best line in the world because you look over at him (or her) and look at their beautiful smile and wonder 'wow why do I feel the way I do because of a little smile?' but you do and it feels so grrreat Then there is that knew song by Fabolous that states "I really like what I feel when I'm with you..." And once again you look at that special one and realize you love the tingly feeling the nervousness and the constant giggles that come from no where and you really believe that you are someone completely different or you feel like nothing else matters when you are with them and you feel incredible...its a grreat feeling and as any sane person will agree with me you never want it to end

"I was just walking that day aimlessly, you picked a perfect day to bump into me...your eyes have a story that they wish to tell and I have my whole life and I'll listen well"-JT

So i've come to the conclusion that either every body is getting married or everyone is pregnant.  It feels weird because i feel so young but thats whats happening with the people around me.  It started with my cousin and sister both getting married last year, followed by a close friend who is my age having a baby, then my sisters best friend got married, then my cuz and his wife had a baby, my sisters best friend's having a baby, another two of my cousins are pregnant and my sisters pregnant...can anyone else be getting married or be having babies around me?? Dont get me wrong i am soooo happy for all of them but i feel like i'm falling behind for some reason...even though i'm only 21 years old it feels like its my turn to get married and start a family....ooo that sounds wierd.  My dad likes to bother me and tell me that its time to get married but to tell you the truth i'm not ready for a family...i'm ready to settle down but the whole family thing- yeah thats a bit scary...i dont know all i know is that i wish everyone luck on their marriages and on their babies
